Kim Ekemar seems to have crafted a unique and captivating story. Matthias certainly has a lot of obstacles to deal with, and his life sounds so complicated. I can imagine this will be a compelling read! Thanks for the insightful review!

Oh my! Matthias has lost face, both literally and otherwise. What could have happened? But do I have the energy to face (pun intended) the challenge of reading seven books?

The story seems like a tough one from the review, being a crime thriller at that. While I must commend the author for a well crafted story, I would not be reading this. The scares and tension might be too much for me. Thanks for a great review

Although these books probably won’t make it to my to-read pile, the sample did have me going! It was kind of hard to put down.
Thank you for the review!

Sounds like an action-packed book that would keep you on the edge of your seat. I am not a fan of torture though, so I would pass on this one. Thank you for your review.

Matthias's story is certainly an intriguing one. I have read and reviewed the first book already. The second book interests me as well.

Thank you for the great review.

I’m not big on series, but this sounds like a great one for lovers of crime thrillers. Looks like the author has it mapped out well. Thanks for a great review!

The premise of this book, sounds very intriguing. However, it sounds like a long saga. I am not sure if I am in the mood for that, right now. I might give this a try for the long run tho'. Thanks for your review, it was very nice and detailed.

This sounds like a thriller novel mixed with revenge and drama. I like that the plot line of the story matches the cover photo on the books. The beginning of the story makes the audience immediately want Matthias to succeed, but as the cost of revenge becomes too much the audience is left to wonder about what will happen next. I agree with the other members in that the face is one of the most definitive features of a person and without that it becomes traumatizing.

This is definitely a new type of crime thriller The only occasion I can think of where someone loses their face is the movie "Face Off". It should make the read more interesting. Great review

Matthias losing his face and fingers is more than enough to merit a book full of revenge! It sounds like the author's narration and storytelling techniques come out extremely well in this book.

The review on Callaghan, Volume 1 & 2 by Kim Ekemar was pretty straight forward and to the point. It almost seemed like the reviewer summed up the story through the review. I liked how the reviewer explained the two parts and how the first book could be a stand alone but the second book definitely needed the first book. They also state how the plot was crafted well and the way the write switched from first and third person was very good allowing the reader to understand point of views. All in all I may read this book because i like that it a suspenseful story but also because the reviewer was so descriptive about what happened that It made me curious a little what the ending is like. Thanks you.
