No. I also have a few books I could never finish because I didn’t enjoy them at all. I would rather spend my time searching and reading a book which I enjoy or learn something from.

I give certain books a second chance, but only if they are short enough to finish in one night. Otherwise, I simply don't have the time

No. Dear God, no. Life is too short to waste on something like that.

It depends on why I hated it. If I hated typos in the book and the author brings an updated version then maybe. But if I hate the pacing, storyline, or something unchangeable then I will not.

I will give the book another chance by reading it again and trying to come up with something more better.

I might give them another chance, but it's unlikely. I often go back to books I enjoyed. Only a compelling reason would make me pick it up. I can't think of one though.

Definitely not. Except a friend reads it and tells me that my judgment was wrong.

Honestly? No, I would not give it a second chance. There are so many books that I want to read, so why would I try to read something that has already failed me?

Not at all. Once I hate a book rereading it will be next to impossible.

I want to give another chance to some books I dropped when I was younger. For longest time I lost interest if the book didn't have strong magic. Yep, that simple. Rarely read anything else. So yeah, now I will probably appreciate some of those books way more.

There's value in the process of self-reflection. Are you able to identify exactly why you hated the book? That may take rereading. Also people change with time and maybe a book you hated when you were younger is a great read today.
