Re: Dogs or Cats?

We grew up with German Shepards in our family and I have always been a dog person. I used to hate cats until a few years ago my housemate had a cheeky little black cat. I can't remember the breed but he had no tail and he looked like a black rabbit. He was so cheeky, I loved him to death, he used to get my housemate's hair bands and through them up in the air and then catch them and throw them up again etc. I wish I could have got him on youtube.

Ive always been a dog person. We have had a few cats I liked, even a 700 dollar pedigree cat at one time. But I never could connect with them, they were too independent.

I like both, maybe cats a little more, they are very intelligent, for instance have you ever seen a cat with a homeless person ?

Good point Ant, but does that mean that a cat is more intelligent or less loyal than a dog? :D

I love cats! So cute, so expressive and the home is so full of hairs so easily
I got 3 of them and I won't exhange them with 1 dog.
We give them voices, buy them toys.

I never liked pets in the past, as I thought they were dumb. But, recently I have bought 2 cats and I love them. This change in my nature happened after reading the online article - "The Glory of the Cat – adidarwinian". I am now a fan of the cats.

I've always been a cat person myself. Growing up my mother hated dogs (though I'm not sure why), and as I got older, I grew to be scared of them - I was attacked and bitten by dogs on two separate occasions, so I'm very wary of them even now that I'm an adult. I've had cats since I was born however, and find I relate to them better. I currently have three :3

Both pets are good in their own ways. I prefer to live with a dog though.
