Review of Ella Phantasy and a Trunkful of Dreams
Ella Phantasy, a cute, shy elephant, always wondered what she could do to make people think she was unique and important. Ella's best friend, Ozzie Owl, was always her source of delight, and she could count on him.
One time, when the Hump's house is ablaze, Ella siphons water with her trunk and puts off the fire in no time, saving the Hump's family. Another time, a little girl is about to be hit by a car when Ella saves her by lifting her with her trunk. Her heroic deeds do not stop at that. While at it, Ella learns a valuable lesson. I admired many things in the work. One, Ro Leone has included figures of speech like similes that will help children improve their diction. In addition, the book was funny. The beginning of the story says that elephants were as scarce as a hen's teeth. Being a child's book, such humorous phrases will cheer them up.
Small steps make huge life changes, and the author has showcased this saying with Ella's success story. Children struggling to excel in various domains will be inspired by this short tale.
Kids will be charmed by the colorful pictures of cute animals included in the pages of the book. The adorable Ozzie Owl, Gracie Guernsey Cow, and Kenny Crocodile were my favorite pictures in the book, especially one when Kenny Crocodile teased Ella along the way to school.
Also, the author incorporated all sorts of animals, from small, to big: elephants, owls, sloths, camels, wallabies, etc. As a result, parents can teach children more about these animals as they read the story for their young ones. There are no grammatical flaws; thus, the book is exceptionally well edited. Ella Phantasy and a Trunkful of Dreams by Ro Leone will not only serve as a bedtime story but also a teaching guide for children. I did not dislike anything. Thus, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to kids between the ages of 4 to 9 years.
