THE RED WAVE IMPERATIVE by Alan Schein is a treatise on the present-day political system prevalent in the United States of America. Alan vividly paints the deep political division present in America, which has truncated the development of the country and has kept it in a precarious position. Alan advocates that the solution to the political problems in America is the adoption of a system of government known as a Voter-Controlled Democracy, which is being operated in Singapore. It is a very interesting concept for every person that is interested in politics and government.

The author stipulates that the Democratic Party has changed and that the policies of the "New Democratic Party" will destroy the United States of America. He encourages the American electorate to vote overwhelmingly for the Republican Party in the 2018 United States Midterm Elections. In his view, the Republican Party needs to be in total control of Congress so that President Trump will get the support that he needs to make America great again. Alan states the achievements of the Trump administration, he stipulates that Trump needs the support of the American people to be able to achieve his vision for the country.

This book is easy to understand. The author uses simple and concise diction to construct the treatise. This work also contains information that many readers will find enlightening such as details about The Great Depression and the systems of government in different countries. I found very few grammatical errors in this book, hence it is professionally edited.

Despite the positive aspects of this book, it is my opinion that the facts presented in this book are biased. The author is a Republican Party apologist, and the entire treatise is constructed to paint the best picture of the Republican Party and President Trump. THE RED IMPERATIVE is not an objective text and so an unprejudiced reader like me will not appreciate the message. The resolution of the treatise which entails that the Republican Party be voted overwhelmingly in the midterm elections so that they will control congress totally is unrealistic and impractical. Considering the above-stated, I rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. I did not rate it higher because the text does not provide an objective and accurate exposition about the political system in America and its challenges. I did not rate it lower than I did, because I believe a certain class of readers will appreciate the message in the book.

I recommend this book to hardline republicans in the United States of America.
