I sometimes find myself disappointed by book character portrayals in tv/movie adaptations.

For me, Jesper Fahey from Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse was portrayed fantastically by Kit Young in the TV show, cocky yet somehow subtly approachable.

What are your favourite book character representations in tv shows/movies?

Oh, Black Panther, right? He's my favourite superhero from the newer Marvel movies. I think I might start getting into their comic books too.

YES! I absolutely LOVED Kit Young as Jesper Fahey. One of the best book character portrayals ever, and definitely the best in Shadow and Bone. Everyone else fell pretty flat.

Kitty in the movie adaptation, "to all the boys I have loved before" was exactly as i imagined her to be while reading the book. She was a sweet character, although also a bit sassy to people she knows well

The first example that comes to mind is "Life of Pi"; the movie had such amazing graphics and the main character was even better portrayed than I imagined. The only thing that was missing were some really hilarious dialogues when he was talking about his life philosophy. I think in this case, the book and movie make a nice pair and for a full experience, you'd want to go through both.
I'm sorry I'm not familiar with Grishaverse but I've been meaning to watch the "Shadow and Bone" movie series.
