Review of Loving Leopold
Loving Leopold: Amour Encore is an exciting book by Diane Coia-Ramsay. This book has twenty-three chapters. The book tells us a beautiful love story between an English businessman and his adorable French wife. They lived in a castle with their maids, who they considered part of their family. The family had the interest of every member at heart; they were known for welcoming visitors and making them comfortable.
Leopold Blakeley is a successful businessman who lived with his family, maids, and relatives in Blackfield, close to London. His wife Amalie Blakeley hasn't given birth to another child after their first son, Leon. They had been married for four years, and this became of great concern to his wife. Will Amalie give birth to another child? Would their love be enough to keep their beautiful family together? This intriguing book has the answers to these questions and more.
Loving Leopold: Amour Encore by Diane Coia-Ramsay has some positive aspects. Despite being lengthy, this book kept me on my toes. I believe any reader who has an interest in romance fiction would have felt the same. The author's unique storytelling technique made it difficult to guess what would happen next. Secondly, the characters in the book are dynamic. For instance, Amalie, Leopold's wife, would be seen in one scene as an ever-loving mistress who is almost assured of her husband's love for her. Still, in the next scene, she would cry over her husband's late arrival from work, saying he doesn't love her anymore and would soon throw her out of the house. Amalie's unique character added a dose of humour to the book; she made the book more exciting. Also, I did not find grammatical errors in this book; it was exceptionally well edited.
However, Diane Coia-Ramsay's book, Loving Leopold: Amour Encore, also had negative aspects. There were some French words in the book which were not explained, and this was a problem for me; I found it challenging to understand the book as I kept wondering what the words meant. For instance, the author used words like du cœurs, née Bouchard, Enchantée, etc.
Therefore, I rate Diane Coia-Ramsay's Loving Leopold: Amour Encore 3 out of 4 stars. I did not rate this book higher because the negative aspects affected my overall satisfaction with the book. I recommend this book to all lovers of fiction around the world and particularly to all those who are interested in romance fiction. Anyone who enjoys reading romance fiction will have a great time reading this book.
