Living in color by Mike Murphy is a romantic and non-fictional story. This piece vividly exemplifies the true meaning of love which is compassion, humanity, and forgiveness. The story revolves around a couple who cherish and care for each other. Mike Murphy, a father of four, divorces his wife Lisa, after meeting Margot, who is also married. After seeing each other for a couple of days, they fall in love with each other and they get married. The newly married couple are living happily until Margot, who is in her late thirties is diagnosed with breast cancer. This new development marks the beginning of several meetings with doctors and hospitals, various surgeries, and numerous medications all in a bid to keep her alive, hale, and hearty. In their trying period, the love of this couple wax stronger with each passing day, and they develop a more intimate relationship. Friends and families also support them during this trying time. Does Margot pull through? The answer lies in the pages of this book.

I enjoyed reading the book. I particularly loved the introduction and development of the characters. I love Mike Murphy's portrayal of Margot, the protagonist of the book. She exemplifies love, resilience, and doggedness. She sees her pain as enlightenment and her ailment as a gift and blessing. She illuminates the lives of people around her with love, affection, and happiness. I also liked the author's portrayal of himself. He is such a caring and amazing spouse. He gives up everything, sacrifices his time, rest and work to be by her side. Margot's parents are depicted as understanding, compassionate, loving and forgiving souls. I love the explicit description of each scene, each character, and each action carried out in the book. There are no unnecessary plot twists, and the author has a great choice of words.

I completely loved this book and couldn't find any negative thing about it. The creativity of the author is top notch and I love how well he was able to bring his ideas to life.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. This is because I enjoyed reading the book.It gives hope to people passing through tough times. It's a perfect love story.

I recommend this book to people who are lovers of romantic stories. For people going through hard times, this book serves as a form of comfort and solace to them. Also, those who are medically- inclined would find this book fascinating because it is replete with medical related terminologies.

Compassion, understanding, and forgiveness. This is what love entails. A story to learn from, teaching one how to love truly, irrespective of whatever might be going on in the relationship. I would love to read this book. Good job and Thanks.
