A novel based on the true story of several men murdered in the late 1930s. It is a fictionalized account of these crimes. It seems to include well-drawn and interesting characters. The major twist at the end catches the eye.

This crime story based on real events that occurred in the late 1930s seems to be quite an interesting, and somewhat shocking tale. It starts off at a fast-pace, with the first murder occurring with the opening chapter. I like the way the author explains at the beginning of the book how he learned about the real-life crimes when he overheard his mother talking to neighbors. I agree with the reviewer, a more fitting title might attract a wider audience.

This book is a historical fiction novel based on a true story that took place in the late 1930's. Each woman's backstop is described in detail and the Philadelphia setting serves as a colorful backdrop. The reader can experience dirty politics, which this city has had a long reputation for, bribery, and prejudice against Jews, blacks and Italians.
The review is thoughtful.
Congratulations on Botd 🎉

A group of women plotting to murder their husbands for the insurance money sounds like a great movie. "The wicked wives" gleefully explores the sins of lust and greed, and the disappointment that love often brings. There is a large cast of characters, yet the author manages to weave their stories together seamlessly. This is an intriguing-sounding book with a lot of actions. I love every minute of this riveting story.

A story so moving that committing the murder of a husband for insurance money is the biggest crime that a human being can commit against humanity, which is more pitiful than killing the partner in order to obtain material things that compensate and which do not deserve infernal atrocities on the precious human being, considering materialism as just a means, not an end.
