Wow, sssns... another grand slam answer (at least I think so after authoring this book). Ya, "control freak" for sure is the Intruder through and through, always thinking it has all the answers for all situations. Whew! That's a big one.

I love watching a whole herd of grazing cows in a pasture. Not a control freak among them. Just being with one another peacefully, allowing all their other cow-friends to be as they choose to be. I never imagined I could learn so much about myself from cows.

Thank you :) Rob

personally I consider procrastinating a more dangerous behavior is the most negative thought that eats my progress, is an intruder that needs serious attention to eliminate

Negative thinking, not creative enough, and not talented enough. The list is actually longer but these are probably the main ones. I have had that negative thinking telling me I can’t do things for a long time. It’s something I have been working hard to get better at. Thankfully I feel like my mind is in a better place these days. Honestly though, I feel like I relate “The Intruder” to the devil. The devil is the one who tells us we are not enough. That is far from the truth.

Its everything from the environment around us to the people in our settings and how we interact with them. Some might bring positivity in our lives while others destabilize us

I think procrastination has been a very big issue in my life. I find it very easy to procrastinate and let my priorities not take the head way but with this book, I think I was able to recognize this and maybe find a way to deal with it.

I have been fighting self-doubt and procrastination. Procrastination has dealt with my productivity over time and even self-doubt.

I think fear is my biggest intruder, and all my shortcomings seem to relate back to this. Fear of failure and fear of what other people think are two factors that have greatly influenced me in the past. That’s why this is such a gem of a book: it helped me identify this and gave me meaningful suggestions to overcome it and turn it into something positive.

Curious question: why was the term "intruder" utilized ?
From my cultural background, we are born who we are as individuals. The spiritual balance we seek to achieve is within ourselves and it is within our power to make and act on decisions that will make us successful people within the community. Thank you.

I can relate to that part of family and friends putting you down instead of encouraging

Frustration is my intruder and especially when things that I have put my time and resources into fail to have the desired results, I find myself feeling worthless and angry at myself

My own intruders would be procrastination and ease of overwhelm—if that makes any sense. In my life time, I've had more ideas than I knew what to do with. But whenever I thought of implementing these ideas I would feel a huge mental burden that would rest on me and kill my ability to do anything. And even whenever I managed to get myself moving, I found it easy to justify taking a break as often as possible or deferring the activity indefinitely halfway through. Well, as you get older you begin to feel a sense of failure when you look back at a life filled with potential and uncompleted efforts. It was a heart breaking realization that I'm currently working on destroying. It's not or never.

Procrastination, self doubt and self sabotaging are the main intruders I'm forced to fight daily. I have to push myself all the time when I need to get things done because I think I'm lazy and have a short attention span.

Fear is a big one, isn't it Sonya? The Intruder feasts on fear. I hope, in my book, I made that clear. When we begin hearing the word NO, we feel threatened. And the more NOs we hear, the more threatening our world appears. And if we don't get a handle on the Intruder, with those howling NOs from our past, it will have us reacting to a threatening world for our entire lives. What's the alternative? The wonderfully welcoming world that is also availalbe if we make it available to us. :) Thank you Rob

My intruders include negative thinking. I learned to always have a positive approach to anything bad or good that happens to me. Generally, I need to work on my mindset.
