Honestly, this book sounds fantastic. Like you said, it sounds much different from the usual self help books. I would definitely like to check this one out. Thanks for sharing your detailed review with us.

What a great review! A self-help book with a difference is definitely up my street. I like the title and the reminder that we cannot keep doing the same thing and get different results. Congrats to the author on BOTD.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting self-help book about taking control of one's life. It might be worth a second look, especially those that enjoy self-help book. Well done.

I pass on almost all books of this nature because they really are fluffy. I've yet to read one which actually helps someone in the right ways. I am a fairly blunt person so this book actually appeals to me on many levels. Great review

This book is a "No-Nonsense Guide to Happiness and Success." Needless to say most people can improve their lives by removing the negatives and focus on the positives. It will not necessarily make poor people wealthy. As the title states if ones life stinks then get your head out of your but's, a play on words but focusing on how bad one's life might be will never bring happiness. Finding a way to focus on positives step by step can bring a much better life. The dreaded word Work is emphasized since work is required to get one on the road to happiness. One's life is determined by you, for better or worse. This book is split into four sections, the most important in my opinion is the Crawling, Walking and Running since this section shows how to take responsibility for yourself, walking focuses on taking control of your thinking and running puts it all together and encourages you to get out there and be successful. Being a senior citizen I think the book is much for someone in their 20s - 40s since seniors do not have the time or money to seriously change their lives, which does not mean seniors cannot benefit but they have to keep everything in perspective. Very good review.

That may be the longest book review I've ever read here. It's easy to see why, though. You can tell that the reviewer truly enjoyed and found the book personally relevant. The simplicity and depth of the writing were evident, as was the direct no nonsense approach to improving the lives of the readers. Clearly, everyone can get some benefit from reading this book. Even if it reminds us of something we already know to be true but haven't thought about for a while.

The author summed up practical life experiences that help achieve success in just three sections in this self-help book. The concepts like taking control of your thinking and living with intention seem simple and practical.

Firstly the title of the book gave me the impression that this book is definitely for personal devolopment, yet I feel like the author would have came with a better title for the book. The book has too many "quotes" of other authors referenced which some are not even acknowledged, the author could have been more authentic.

I had an opportunity to read the first few chapters of this book and it's definitely an upgrade from previous self-help books that I've read. The author is giving tough love that is necessary for personal growth in life. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book!

Title is a good one, attracts people who are in need of directions for life instead of sitting on their couch thinking one day things will change by time. Sometimes people need to know that working hard leads to good results. If they want to be successful they have to work for it.

Thank you for your in-depth review. I enjoyed reading the quotes and especially the one about frustration. At this time I'm going to pass on this book because I have chosen a path that involves others that can't speak for themselves. So though it can be frustrating at times, I guess I wouldn't have chosen it another way.

From your review, this book deviated from the culture of self help books that just keep on hammering on positive thinking. This book rather advocates positive thinking and positive actions as a recipe for success. I think this book is in a different league in the genre of self help books. Good review

The book appeals to the quote that says, "The change you seek is the change you make." I liked that the author acknowledged that though positivity in thoughts and actions is important, discipline and hard work are also needed. The title alone is humorous and captivating. Thank you for the elaborate review.
