Review of Man Mission
For a very long time, l've been wondering what goes on in the minds of men during decision-making. I've always wanted to know what their thoughts are on various topics, especially what they think of being married. Man Mission by Uliel Eytan has really helped me to get men's view-points, and now I can almost understand them for the decisions they make every day. The book is a compilation of fifteen epic adventures narrated by Eytan. He and his three male friends enjoy taking challenging missions, so that by achieving them, they can feel that they are men enough. They travel to different parts of this globe to undertake these risky missions. Each time they choose adrenaline-packed activities ranging from kayaking in deep waters to bicycle riding on unthinkable roads. The men each has a role to play during preparation and execution of the missions. Find out how the idea of man mission came about and what the wives' opinions about all these were. Apart from wanting to prove how manly they were to the team members, they also wanted to have time of their time away from the demands of their families and careers.
The book was an easy read. This is because each story started from the beginning of one mission to its completion. They were simple to follow through. The length was okay. I liked how the writer ended the missions with the location, accommodation, means of transport and more so the funny part of injuries sustained. This added more fun to the already comical narration by the writer. What I loved the most about the book is that I was able to dive into a man's mind and get to know how decisions are made. I wouldn't forget the epic journeys that Eytan described vividly. I felt like I was journeying with them throughout the book. Furthermore, I learned some traditions of the people they interacted with.
For such an intriguing read, I couldn't find anything to despise.
I rate Man Mission four out of four stars. The book has undergone professional editing. I must say I found no error throughout the book. It was enjoyable.
I recommend this book to all men. More so to those who feel less manly. They can feel better reading about those times the men were made to put on a pink bracelet for failing to be men enough. To women, this will be eye-opening. They will get into men's world and to try to understand their husband's way of reasoning. Lastly, this will be a big inspiration to all the adventurous souls. This book will ignite a spark in them. They might be inspired to even start their missions. Ideas of what countries to visit and activities to try will be found in the book as well. The writer has tried to provide as much information as possible of the places visited, with even maps included.
