That is a lovely book cover! Though the reviewer describes the book very well, poetry is not for me. The meanings normally just pass me by, but I'm glad there are people that appreciates this art form.

Great review and an interesting way of telling a story. I don't think this is a book for me but appreciate how other's would love it.

Poetry is a mindset which I have never understood, that being said I read the piece on Amazon and this review and I would like to finish this book some or another time. The poetry is easy to understand but also has a lot of emotion involved.

I like the eye-catching title and its matching book cover, but I prefer poetry filled with rhymes, alliteration, and other poetic writing techniques. I feel that Chaisson relied more on emotion than imagery and poetic devices to engage her readers. I prefer poetry with more flowery language.

The narrative in this poetry is dramatic and beautiful. I agree that there is a poem or part of such that many readers will be able to relate too. I was struck by the beautiful and eye-catching cover. Thanks for a good review on this book.

I feel like I can relate to Penelope on some level as my failed love life has led to my growth and self-discovery. However, I'm not a fan of poetry, so I'd have to skip this book.

What a beautiful and well-detailed review. I enjoyed reading these short poems because they spoke to my soul. I felt the emotion and passion of the writer. Many readers will connect with the words because many of us have love stories to tell and know what it is to have loved and lost. Love is a powerful emotion and the poems captures the beauty and of love and the ugliness of heartbreak. Kudos to the author for penning these beautiful words and congratulations on being selected for today's reading.
