I like the eye-catching title and its matching book cover, but I prefer poetry filled with rhymes, alliteration, and other poetic writing techniques. I feel that Chaisson relied more on emotion than imagery and poetic devices to engage her readers. I prefer poetry with more flowery language.

Many readers will connect with the words because many of us have love stories to tell and know what it is to have loved and lost.
