I love and enjoyed this book, it kept me thinking of what would happen when i die.
This book revolves around two main characters, Dr. Richard and Bob. Although this book might seems boring to some people, but to me it is a lovely book.
I want to sincerely appreciate the author for taking out time to write this.

This sounds like an interesting read about the comparison of the lives of two men, and how their differences affect them. Thank you for your review.

It's incredible the things we will discuss with strangers only to discover, after a while, that we are no longer strangers but friends. That two men can discuss women, faith, careers, children, etc. is good for them. It can be challenging to find someone to connect with on that level. Thank you for a great review!

There was absolutely nothing I disliked about this book. It contained several thought-provoking themes. Some of the themes include death, health, belief, etc. The characters in the book were not numerous, but were well-developed. The scenes were well-organized and coordinated. The author also showed artistic expertise. His style of writing was engaging, and each chapter of the book was beautifully written. I loved the fact that I was able to follow the lives of the two men simultaneously as the story progressed.
They all seem like important topics that concern us all, and it might be very enriching to see them from different perspectives. It's also very refreshing to find a book that approaches male friendships without reducing them to beer and sports.
Great review!

Those must be interesting discussions, because of the age difference between Dr Richard and Bob, the readers will get both perspective on many aspects of life. I also think it was a brilliant idea to write about the discussions they had during fishing. Thank you for the review

It sounds like you really enjoyed this piece, and your review was well written. I don’t think I’ll be reading this, but it’s only from a lack of interest in the content, not your review.

As I understand the description the book is about the fishing and multiple topic discussions that were taking place during said activity. Unfortunately, since I am unfamiliar with those persons, I am not very interested in the thoughts on any subject and therefore prefer to pass this book. Still, congratulations on BOTD!

I am not fond of philosophical discourses and existential questions. I also know nothing about fishing. This book doesn't excite me, but I will give it a shot because it is free. Who knows it might catch my interest?

The book cover hides the fact that the book's content is full of wise life lessons.

I have actually met a lot of people in life whom I cannot hold a free conversion with. Dr Richard and Bob, from this review, are two different individuals that understands each other. I think I have a lot to learn in this book on keeping friendship.

The review makes this book sound very interesting for those who like these kinds of stories. I do not, but based on the review, I believe anyone who does would greatly benefit from this book.

Thanks for this review. I look forward to reading. I like how you said the chapters are organized. This makes it easier to read if you have a hard schedule. Reading one chapter a day is doable for busy people.

I also like how you shared about the characters in your synopsis without giving too much away.

As a social work master’s student I’m always looking for books like this to enrich my perspectives on many topics of life. Especially if they differ from my perspectives. This book sounds engaging and enriching.

I think we all carry biases. The question is do we meet then head on? Doing so allows us to open our minds to differing views and lays the groundwork for finding common ground.

Good review, making me feel I would like to read the entire book, not just the sample. Men that spend time having long conversations must have interesting personalities...so I believe that an unbiased perspective on life as shown here would be worth reading.
