ARA Review by McKinleyAspenAuthor of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

"In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All" is a book I would not have even considered picking up - except that the cover drew me in curiously coupled with the title. Upon opening it the first few pages gave me a sense of uplifting spirit which the author showcases in the writing tone flawlessly.

I like the thought provoking idea we are all in one in the same -- people say this but do they really understand the breadth and depth of what that could potentially mean?

I think it is interesting that the writer showcases topics like spiritual freedom and intermingles them to show how many things that "sound different" are actually "the same" (spiritual freedom and self-discipline is one example of this which the author uses successfully in the writing style.)

I enjoyed the various quotes but I was unsure how Wayne Dyer was connected to Jung and Nietzsche - but that's just me and my overtly educated brain 😂

I honor the author for the idea of "What is the opposite of temptation?"

I am going to start to follow this author more as this book now has me very intrigued on what else they will bring to the world. I think this book is cross-genre and can be really valuable for someone searching, someone interested in philosophy, or someone even considering the varying degrees of humanity and the human spirit. There is a little tidbit for everyone.

I would give this book 4 out of 5 because I think it's really good - it's just not my area of what I would normally read so for me to have a 5 I really need to be captivated by story and its most likely to resonate fictionally with me ... that said I view a 4 as a B+/A- and I think that is a excellent rating. Congrats Eckhart Aurelius Hughes - and I hope to read more from you very very soon!
