I think many people who believe in God would lose their faith after going through a traumatic situation, so I admire the character's faith to hold onto their beliefs.

Losing a loved one and keeping one's faith is definitely a very hard thing. I believe Ron just knows that things are bound to happen. Nobody controls it.

I believe that people lose their faith pretty often after a traumatic experience. And honestly, I do not blame them. It is not easy to lose something dear to you after having so much faith in God. To them, it suggests that their faith was misplaced, even though that may not be entirely true.

In my experience, this is so accurate. I have seen my grandfather lose his brother to illness and the only thing it did was make him trust in God more to make sure he is taken care of when his time comes.

Holding on to God's words, believing that he knows exactly what is going on, and that all things works for our good is not easy.
I definitely agree with your point. For me, it feels as though I am being overlooked and almost as though I am not important enough to be looked after. Very difficult.

Some who pass through such experience tend to lose their faith when nothing good seems to be happening but the protagonist's faith and belief was exceptional

I cannot say that it happens often, but I do not think that it happens easy. It is not put of place to lose faith, but I think it is dangerous to be out of faith. A lost faith can be regained or restrengthened.

anne Irungu wrote: 05 Sep 2022, 12:32 i think the more appropriate question is whether it is okay to lose faith in God after a traumatic experience? I think losing faith is more of a first response to the situation because a person is usuaaly in aplace where he/she is looking for somebody or something to blame.
Yes, the blame game always comes up when someone vis experiencing a traumatic experience. People often think that they are above traumatic events or that they shouldn't even experience traumatic events because they are religious people. It is not so.

This also counts. Smallers temptations might not cause a person to lose faith. However, bigger traumatic events are more likely to lead a person into questioning their faiths and beliefs, therefore leading them into falling out of faith.

It can be easy to lose faith in God due to a traumatic experience. The important thing is to always return to him.

People begin to lose faith on God when there are void of hope. Faith, hope and love (God) go together and it's essential for life. Normally, you can't blame anyone for losing faith in God because we can never understand what they must have been through. All we can do is help them solve their problems and bring them closer to God again.
You have a life to live. If you ain't living it, that's failure. :tiphat:

Is it not uncommon for people to doubt about God's existence in the face of troubles or after a traumatic experience. The thing is, God's way and our are not the same, says the bible. Sometimes God allows us to pass through trauma to teach us lessons or redirect us.

From my point of view, we all deal with our loss in a different way. A lot after losing their lobes one will lose their faith in God because we as humans like to find someone to project the blame of a bad incident on. While some will use this medium to get closer to God to comfort them like Tripod here. No one is to be blamed when a person loses faith in God. Some of these people later in life after dealing with their losses will gone back to God while some won’t.
