On the concept of civilization, it is sad to note that some Westerners still see other raceNJs as uncivilized. It's really pathetic.
On the the issue of marriage, I don't totally agree that marriage is oppressive to women. It becomes oppressive if you want it to.

:tiphat: The review attracted me because it was the only one that gave the book a rating of less than 5 out of 5. It piqued my curiosity because I am currently reading the book.
Thank you for this excellent work that has made me want to look into some special topics.

I've never heard of Piraha, the Brazilian tribe that's termed to be backward, but they embrace happiness as a daily dose, they live for the present. The review has greatly inspired me to delve into this read. Great review!
