Can you do multitask while reading

No, I can't. I'm not really good in general with multitasking, one of them has to be something I can only half-pay attention. And reading is not an example!

Honestly, I find it quite challenging to multitask while reading. When I dive into a book, I become fully immersed in the story and the characters, and any external distractions tend to take me out of that experience.

I don't multitask well at anything, but reading has always been the thing where everything else zones out as I enjoy the book

Does listening to music while reading count as multitasking? If it does, then the answer would probably be yes. Listening to music helps me concentrate and get in the mood for reading. Although some readings need absolute concentration, so sometimes I don't listen and completely read in silence. I also walk in circles while reading sometimes. This multitasking doesn't get me distracted, it actually helps me in some way. What do other activities count as multitasking?

That is multitasking, Bianca. I can't do what you did. When I read, it must have been no music, or else, my focus turned to the music not to the book anymore. I want to be free from noise.

I could totally relate to that Hazel! when the focus turned to the music instead of the book. It's so funny when this kind of scenario oftentimes happens. I don't know why but I find ultimate silence so unsettling sometimes. There has to be some form of background noise around or else I wouldn't get comfortable doing anything else. It's interesting to know people's tastes and differences.

I can listen to music while reading books. I try to listen to songs that match the mood of the book, it enhances the reading experience!

I don’t do multitasking while I’m reading. I love to give my full focus on reading. I don’t want to miss anything important in the book.

I’ve read while exercising but I can’t think of much else I could actively be doing while reading. I love to listen to audiobooks when I’m doing busywork, walking, or driving though.
