As an introverted with few friends, I have always found solace in the world of literature since the tender age of 5. Reading has been an integral part of my upbringing, thanks to the family of book lovers that I belong to. It was and still is, my preferred pastime.

I vividly remember being captivated by the magical world of "Alice in Wonderland" and the wondrous creatures that inhabited it. As I grew older, my reading tastes evolved, and I delved into the realm of fantasy fiction with "The Lord of the Rings" series, which transported me to a world of adventure and heroism.

Despite spending long hours at school, I would always find myself gravitating towards the school library once class was over. There, I would lose myself in the pages of various books, expanding my knowledge and imagination.

Yes! Got books for every birthday and started going to our public library when I was about a year old. My Mum and my grandma both read a lot :)

I grow up learning to love reading. It has become my primary hobby and passion. I really like the escapism and entertainment it provides. It's very helpful in my introverted nature. I made friends and discover communities such as onlinebookclub because of it. I am thankful for that.

Yes definitely, I always had a book on the go. I learned to read very young and love (and loved) reading. As a child we went as a family to the public library every week and borrowed the max number of books. I think we were allowed to borrow 6 each. I read them all each week and then exchanged them for another batch the following week.

I was the child who reached the maximum limit on library books and returned them before the deadline thoroughly read. I lack the time and attention span for that now, though one day I hope I can re-connect with that energy.

Actually no. When I was in school I was confined to my school related stuff only. I got into reading only when I was in my teens and it just continued. Now it has become a part and parcel of my life.

Yes, it was my escape. I went away from it for some time and picked it back up in the last few years. If I try other hobbies I don't feel the same way, it's too forced.

I started reading when I was 11 and kept at it throughout high school. I read hundreds of books from so many great authors during those years. It was a memorable part of my childhood and I enjoyed it a lot.

Yes, I was (and still am) a book worm. Reading was my escape, particularly while my parents were going through their divorce. I spent hours at the library and would finish the summer reading club's challenges within the first 2 weeks of summer each year!

I remember books being my almost only fun activity during childhood. All my friends and family gifted and lended me books all the time, so I was lured into reading by them.

Yes, I grew up reading. My mom read to me before I was able to read myself and it was always fun. I was very excited to get started on my own and I was lucky that it cane naturally to me. Math, however…not so much.
