It's not totally impossible, but it will be very difficult. In Steve's case, it is impossible because ending corruption in an organisation as large as the police force will require the individual having lots of power and influence.

It will be challenging for a single guy to battle corruption, especially when it is the norm. The only way things could possibly work out is if he were the head and choices needed his approval.

I believe that one man can change the world. Ome person can be the spark that enacts change in a corrupt enterprise.

This made me remember the saying "if you cannot stop them, you join them." Sincerely speaking, looking at our society, I don't think a single person can stop corruption. Instead of stopping, you'll either end up joining hands with them or they'll do everything to eliminate you.

I think a single person can make a difference and be an example. It takes one man to start, people can join along the way. Every great difference made today started from one person.

I firmly believe that in a large organization like the police force, corruption cannot be stopped by one person. However, I do not believe the one-man squad will actually work in Steve's instance, especially because he is only a low-ranking officer. I believe you should strive to find a different technique to bring about the change that the person genuinely desires after multiple failed attempts.

I think one person can't eradicate corruption in a big organization but one can influence other people to join by being persistent in doing good

The only way a single person can bring about change in an organization is when that person is in position of authority or has access to influential people.

It’s often difficult for a single person to stop corruption in an organization because they would probably gang up against the person and make him/her look like the bad one in the eyes of the public.

No, you can't, it's absurd to think something like that, although since the book is fictitious, this part can be passed on as a fantasy bonus.

One person can't stop the corruption in a system, and if someone finds themselves in such a situation, they could ask for advice from someone they trust or that's close to them. And also, in a corrupt system, I think there are people who, despite being in the system, might not be in total agreement with it, and they are looking for the first person to make a step for them to follow, so it would be nice to look out for people like this too, though they are rare. So one person can start the change but can't entirely purge the system of corruption.

Indeed I think a person can, but their conviction would have to be very strong because there would be a lot of obstacles along the way.

I do not believe anything is impossible so yes. One person can stop corruption. It would be very hard though. I think the person should start by recruiting others too.

It'll be almost impossible for one person to singlehandedly stop corruption, he'll need all the help from superiors to stop corruption. But what if the superiors are corrupt too themselves? As the saying goes... "If you put one good egg amongst rotten eggs, it won't make a difference".
