Unleash Your Power: Own Your Energy, Mindset and Strengths by Kirsten Blakemore is a nonfiction book that talks about how to be able to take control of yourself and your mindset and not live based on the opinions of others about you. In this book, the author gives step-by-step instructions and guides that you can follow to take total control of your life. The author introduces a three-step process to taking control of your life and the situations around you and in various parts of your life, and this three-step process will put you in the driver's seat of your life. Kirsten identified these three-step processes as "define, align, and design," which she deeply emphasized and discussed for the reader to gain a better understanding. The author disclosed a way of removing negative thoughts from our minds and also explained how not having a healthy mind and body can affect our alignment. Do you want to know how to control your mindset and be in control of your life? Read this book to learn more.

In this book, as I read each chapter, I did not only understand the need for me to be aware of my surroundings, but I also learned how to be aware of them and handle any situation I find myself in. I learned that to create the life we want, we must consider our thoughts, feelings, and actions because those determine our life. I also learned that we can control the kind of energy we attract into our lives, whether positive or negative, and I also learned how to appreciate my achievements, be they small or big.

What I loved about this book was how the author shared the challenges others have faced, how they handled them, and how they could have handled things differently to achieve a better outcome. I also appreciated how she included inspiring quotes from different people in this book. I also loved how the author gave key takeaways at the end of each chapter that can help the reader put what they read into practice if they want to.

I did not find anything that I disliked or hated about this book, as I learned a lot from reading it and found it to be an educational piece. While reading this book, I only discovered a few errors, which makes me believe that this book was professionally edited. So, therefore, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to people who are finding it difficult to control their mindset or who seem to have lost control of their lives or situations around them.

My mind is my biggest enemy. Time after time I fight those negative thoughts that hinder me to live fully. This book might bring me a new perspective that I didn't gain from other self-help books I read. I like it when you say that you learn how to appreciate your achievement- big or small. I want it to apply to myself always as well. Thanks for your wonderful review!

This is a great book to read on overcoming negativity. Just as the author said, "we need to take control of our lives". I think this statement was referring to me. I will help myself by picking a copy of this amazing book.
