A wonderful review. i have sampled initial pages and liked the California and Ireland scene shifts so to top that on your review I guess the book is great. I will read it.

The first paragraph of this review describing the book was quite confusing, but, the general review makes the book look interesting though I doubt I will be interested in reading it. Congrats either way on being BOTD.

Mysteries mostly make for excitement. I'm almost eager to know what Hilary finds out. It's good work by the author to carve the out this book uniquely despite being part of a series.

I think that this is an excellent review! It covers all the important features of the book and leaves you very interested in taking the leap into a new book! I loved that the writer took care to point out that although this is the 3rd book an a series that it can still be read in isolation of the preceding volumes! I am compelled to add it to my bookshelf. Thank you for the great review.

I have read this book and really enjoyed the mystery. The author deals with the Irish troubles of the time very sensitively. I found some of the conversations overly wordy but would definitely recommend this book. Thanks for the great review 😊

This is an interesting book. I like that the author was able to wrap up the ending. Books that leaves me asking many questions are really frustrating. Congrats on BOTD.

A thrilling mystery novel set in a picturesque town in Ireland. The author does a fantastic job of weaving together these different storylines into a cohesive whole.

An exciting story in which family vacation is interrupted when dark family secrets come to surface and much more is presented in the book "House of Eire" by June Gillam, which follows Hillary Broome, a ghostwriter and her spouse Ed, a detective. A cast of well-developed characters makes it appealing to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I had the opportunity to review this novel a few months ago, but for some reason I didn't think that it would be a good fit for me. Having now read your review, I have changed my mind. I thank the author for the free copy, and I thank you so much for writing this review. I look forward to reading it.

This story seems like it is going to have many twists and turns, when you expect something to happen, it will turn out to be the opposite. I am interested in this book and would like to read it to find out what happens and if I enjoy the book, I would probably read more of this authors books.

This is quite an interesting mystery/historical fiction. I am most impressed by the characterization of Hillary and Ed, and I look forward to reading about their intended tour to Ireland. The verisimilitude elements in the novel, especially as regards Claire's portrayal, is appealing, and with the thorough editing, I think readers will have a great time with this book.

This book seems to have all the elements of a wonderful mystery story - strong characters, great plot, beautiful location choices, and according to the reviewer, all loose ends are wrapped up by the ending. I too have read series that have stand alone titles, but it is more fun for me to read them in order. That said, book three is going to be read first because the sampling has already grabbed my attention! Congratulations to the author for attaining BOTD honors. Also wonderful review!

This looks like a family vacation that would open up a can of worms. I already envisage dirty secrets coming to light. I guess I'd have to read it to know.
