I am so thankful to get this book as a gift, because there isn't anything not to like about it according to description review provides. Ancient history and battle tactics, hereditary conflicts and intrigues - sounds like a perfect read for me and I thank and congratulate the author with BOTD!

Very interesting and informative review, thank you. I sampled a couple of chapters and I agree that it is a very well-written novel. Just on religious matters, I prefer the Bible to its fictional dramatisation, and I am not a fan of war combat. But I hope that this book will please many readers who are capable of appreciating its genre and quality of writing.

This story seems to be an excellent one. The biblical David here was running away from the presence of saul. How is he going to escape this mess he found himself in? I hope to read this book to find out more. Thanks for the review.

Great review. The story of King David and Saul, the former king of Israel always makes an interesting read. The author has done really well on portraying this story. One might actually believe that all the events really happened as written in the book.

I like reading Bible stories a lot, so I think I'd enjoy this one. A lot of it is fictionalized, which readers like myself must be aware of while reading this book. I feel I may be able to understand King David and almost humanize him using this book. Thanks for the review!

Davids’ story in the Bible is compelling. In *David* by Joseph Ganci, the author rounds out the Biblical story by adding dialogue, vivid location descriptions, and more context. This makes it an even more compelling story. Congratulations to Ganci for coming up with a unique way to enhance the Biblical story and understanding.
