Weird personalities on a small town? Is the sheriff in on it? This sounds mysterious. I am definitely looking forward to reading this. I like FBI and crime stories and this intrigued me.

Any detective book always has an interesting story on how to unravel crime. I will read "The raven conspiracy" by Michael Spratt to learn how to think through investigations.

The intriguing elements intertwined in this thrilling story seem to play their role fabulously, and I would love to know how the detectives solve the mysterious aspects of the beach town.

I think focusing on the day-to-day mundane aspects of detective lives, while not as thrilling, is quite original. I hope that the casual lives of the detectives in Crescent Beach will be as exciting as their investigation.

While the overall mystery is enough to draw a reader in, the characters—particularly the citizens of Crescent Beach—seem like they steal the show in this book. They are the real mystery, and I’d love to read this book just to figure out what’s going on with them. Thank you for the helpful review.

Oh, the Raven Conspiracy is a resto and the book discusses the menu! Then, there is demonic possession and a lackadaisical deputy sheriff. This is definitely a different kind of crime story. Let me check it out to appease my curiosity.

Thank you for the heads-up. I agree that a mystery book that sidetracks too much into the detectives' lives rather than focusing on the unraveling of the mystery can be rather disappointing. Nonetheless, this book sounds intriguing, especially with your descriptions of the suspects. Thank you for the review!

Michael F. Spratt seems to be talented and creative in writing this crime thriller fiction with his underlying theme that law enforcement also needs to be in tune with people. I would like to read this sometime. Your review is well written without giving away too much. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I actually like the detective's teasing attitude towards the FBI agents, and think his keeping things from them is fun. I enjoy how casually the book is written; it's a very easy read.
