This is an interesting idea. The thought that Judas was the complete opposite of who he was portrayed as. It would take a lot of convincing, with a lot of research to support it for this argument to be compelling. Which is what the review says has been done. So now, I am quite interested in knowing what this author came up with.

Misreading Judas aims to provide an alternative perspective of Judas than what is generally agreed upon. Although Judas is misunderstood, his deeds speak for themselves. Why did he commit suicide? Will reading this book provide clarity? I hope so. Thanks for your review.

It might be interesting to read another person's view of the biblical story and its interpretation. I didn't know if Judas' and Jesus' relationship had another view to it. I will make a pass on this book but I'm convinced many people will enjoy reading the story.

Amazing book. Judas was one of several biblical personalities in whose early mysteries I have always been interested. The front cover page and title of this book drew my eye, and I really enjoyed the review.

Misreading Judas
It appears from the Christian writings that the Christian religion is built on a lie that leads to the crucification & subsequent resurrection of Christ.

Robert Wahler is simply addressing the third side of the coin that for decades, nobody dared to. Am fascinated by the use of sound comparative analysis to argue his points out. I'm ready to get new information about Christianity and this book is the right one for me.

The debate of the millennia indeed. I was reading through the summary of this book and one thing made me pause. "Jesus didn't die for anyone's sin." That is controversial and as a Christian I would boldly say that is untrue. The world is just like a farmer who recently discovered a new land full of the unknown. That new land is knowledge. The quest to wanting to know more, the obsession of history and the fire to want to see famous historical characters and their stories come to life. I would have loved to read this one, but I'll pass because I do not want anything to shake up my faith or make me have a rethink about my convictions and beliefs in GOD.

The sample pages did not live up to my expectations. I found some terms and the language slightly complicated. I respect the author's opinion, but I did not understand why the teachings of a Swamiji were included as a part of this book. I realize that it probably was to show the connection to Eastern mysticism in the later part of the book, but I was unable to digest all the information provided. I appreciate that the author has probably done a lot of research for this book; however, I will skip this one. Congrats on the BOTD, though!

This is a remarkable review.
The summary begins with an interesting question that holds attention. After learning about the author I was even more interested in the book. A big S/O to the reviewer for highlighting the misinterpretations composed by second-century Gnostic Christians in the new Testament.

Today's Book of the Day is a masterpiece that I can't wait to read. Who would ever think that Judas wasn't a betrayal that we've all seen him be? This is quite interesting. Congrats to the author on being the #BOTD!
