Have you ever imagined how it was for everyone watching Jesus' crucifixion? Or how it would have felt to become a crucial part of Jesus’ death? We all know what the Bible says, but how would it have been to be there?

I Hung Jesus by Carmine Lombardo is a narrative poem based on Jesus Christ’s death but told from the perspective of the tree used to construct the cross where Jesus was crucified. As we experience Jesus' death through the tree's perspective, we also get to understand the tree's last moments. The poem starts with a tree, standing tall and proud, unaware that soon, it will be cut down to become an essential torture and death instrument.

This is a great, unique, and captivating poem. I Hung Jesus narrates biblical accounts with a unique voice and perspective. It would have never occurred to me to use a tree as the narrator, especially a Biblical tale but, I loved and applaud the author on how they brought it to life. We get to experience sadness, pain and hope through the words the tree shares, we get to see everything through innocent eyes that are trying to understand what is happening. I loved how the author used personification to give the poem a more profound meaning and feeling. The poem has a perfect balance between fiction and biblical tale, so it never feels as if the author just added some feeling to what the Bible says, it has a beautiful flow.

I cannot think of anything negative to say about this book. I loved it and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did. This narrative poem has been professionally edited, but I did find some errors, primarily typos or missing commas. The author's writing style is amazing, definitely one of the best poems I have read. Because of everything I have said, I am happy to rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to readers that enjoy narrative poems, as well as everyone who enjoys religious stories, especially Christians. As always, this book can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their beliefs but Christians will enjoy it the most. This poem could be read as part of a youth group, because it serves a double purpose, talking about feelings and discussing the Bible, it can also be used to explain Jesus' death to young children, that are not mature enough to read the Bible.

I don’t really enjoy poetry, but this has a unique perspective so it may be worth reading.

Biblical stories are brought to life in this enthralling poem by I Hung Jesus using a tree as the narrator. Readers can comprehend the story because the tree expresses loss, pain, and hope. Brilliant idea author for bringing such a book topic like this. Surely everyone will love this book.

Very well review, comprehensive and attractive.
