“I'm afraid the American dream, sir, was really... only a dream.”- Alfred.
Indeed, this is a feeling I had while reading “What Do You Think, Mr. Collins?”. The world described there is in a parallel universe, but still so related to ours. And that’s why it feels like a dream you want to share with someone. Corrupt social media, the Asian mafia, androids, even a terrorist attack - it seems like the city of Paradise has the same problems as we do nowadays. The problems a lot of us don’t pay much attention to in our lives, as well as the citizens of the city of Paradise. All of them are living their lives which we can watch.

A sophisticated reader might say, “The idea isn’t new”. And he is right. But why is it still that exciting?
As I said, the story is shown through the prism of our time. We can relate to the woes they have. I also love the moment Evelyn was upset by losing her android nanny. Usually, we used to fear them as mechanical things we did not understand, but we didn’t think we might get attached to them as to living things. Android Nan was even more attentive and tender to the living girl than her own mother. The living people are more apathetic, it's easier for them to hide behind “the mask”. Another example that proves this is Alfred, an AI and the only one who is concerned about what is going on. Did his concern save people?
The answer is not that obvious.

It’s pretty rare when the idea and the realization are both wonderful. Neal Bialostovsky has picked an interesting idea, developed it into a fascinating story, added some satire and finished it as a tragedy. The approach Neal Bialostovsky chose I might describe as experimental, but still successful.
In conclusion, I rate this book 5 out of 5. The editor’s work is excellent, which shows us a professional approach to this book.

I can't say that the overall plot appeals to me but it certainly has some interesting aspects to it. It is possible, in not so distant future, that technology will replace even family members. Thus the concept of Android Nan and an AI concerned about the future aren't too far fetched.
The review is beautifully done, pointing out the strength and weaknesses of the plot. Thank you for writing such an insightful review.

This is an interesting science fiction fantasy novel highlighting a unique take into modern society and problems using the prism of a parallel world and humor. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD.

It's unique and exciting when an author chooses a realistic topic to inspire in executing a book. I admired the honesty and tenacity of the author to express the reality of the current events and issues revolving in today’s society. Thank you for writing a tenacious and honest review.

Well, after reading the review I'm not totally sure what the book is about. The review mentions that the book covers current problems like social media corruption, mafia and androids. But also futuristic ideals such as robot nannies and Alfred the sentient AI. I believe this to be some kind of speculative fiction, which I agree with the reviewer here, makes things even scarier because at the back of our minds we're constantly thinking about the chances of that happening in real life. This is a genre that can be really interesting if well written and according the reviewer's rating is something I can count on with this book.

The author Noel is Abit complicated but as a reader, understanding what you are reading when you know it's complicancy is goten so easily.A parallel world seems to be inexistence as per my view as I read deep into this book.'What do you think Mr.Collins',is an Ai book of this century so it's so formal with the trending.Nice job Noel.

The scenario of a parallel universe is striking but with problems similar to ours nowadays. An android nanny and an AI with more human behaviors than real humans is thought-provoking. The mixture of satire and tragedy is intriguing. Sounds interesting!

What Do You Think, Mr. Collins? The book is related to our world which the author shared with us about the corrupt social media, the Asian mafia, androids, and terrorist attack which it seems like the city of Paradise but which has the same problems.

The idea of a world so close to our own, with the same problems, is very intriguing. In addition, I find AI to be very interesting. Congratulations on BOTD!

This review is almost as thought-provoking as the boot itself is made out to be! I typically don’t indulge in the sci-fi genre that much, but this seems to have the kind of plot and experimentation with familiar themes that I could get into.

It's an interesting idea to reflect real problems in a parallel society. Maybe not a new idea, as mentioned in the review, but when put into an exciting and wonderful story, the concept may be known and still make for an interesting book.
