Surviving a grisly road accident and then getting a colon cancer diagnosis would be thoroughly devastating for anyone. It would be interesting to see how the author dealt with all of these.

her description of the accident to recovery was very close to reality given this is a memoir. but for me the writing fell short. her sentences were very staccato feeling. like they were cut too short. the author probably intended it that way to properly depict her mental state. running into periods after every thought kinda bothered my reading experience. well anyways I still enjoyed the story so for me 3/5

This appears to be an inspiring memoir. Joanne suffered a lot in her life, but it helped her to re-prioritize her life and come out stronger. It's great to see the love of her supportive husband, and all that she accomplished herself too. Thanks for a great review, and congrats to the author on BOTD!

This book sounds amazing to me. I find the descriptions and story quite interesting. I can definitely relate to the author's relationship with her husband Fred, because I have such supportive partner; in fact, I have the most supportive family. Congrats to the author.

"A crucial insight that can be gleaned from Joanne's experiences is that adversity can serve as a catalyst for personal growth and development."

I too agree with this statement made by the reviewer. I have always been fond of reading memoirs and today's book, 'By Accident' sounds like an inspiring and uplifting read. I would love to give this one a go.

The author's imaginative portrayal of angels, especially Thumo's sense of justice, resonated with me. The blend of imagination and research creates a captivating narrative. Lane and Ian's development adds depth, making this novel promising for those interested in supernatural workings.

A memoir where the author shares her experience of how she was hit by a truck and was able to overcome it and emerge from the experience even stronger. The author also talks about how she was diagnosed with cancer and how she fought to cope with it. I like how the author's writing style was conversational. Nice review.
