Tyler Cook's skilful storytelling will draw readers into Eli's world, where acceptance and courage collide. This book offers a compelling narrative with well-crafted characters.

Romance novels are not my preferred genre, so I think this book is not for me. Since I am not too familiar with the types of books, I don't know if my idea is accurate, but I haven't seen much or heard much about same-sex romance novels. This is a nice change and I hope Eli and Christian know a happy ending.

I’m not really into lgbt stories but this sounds compelling anyway! I love books set in the mountains, especially love stories. From the sample it sounds like a really intriguing read! Thanks for this review, it was extremely well written!!

Eli Cooper, evidently a lovely young man, a good person, a homosexual. It was so difficult as a young person growing up to express his sexual preference, especially to his traditional family. We hope he finds what he’s looking for, and perhaps he has with the introduction of an ex co-student of the same ilk. This is a well written story and easy to understand.

Your review brilliantly highlights the emotional depth and character development in 'The One' by Tyler Cook. It's fascinating how the author balances the themes of same-sex relationships, friendship, and the journey of self-acceptance. Your insights into the editing quality and the non-erotic nature of the romance add valuable perspectives for potential readers. The mention of how the book handles communication through text and call chats is an intriguing detail that seems to add a modern touch to the storytelling.

I usually enjoy emotional, character-driven stories, but, on the other hand, I am very picky with romance novels. A gay romance novel is definitely quite unique, I don't think I've ever bumped into one before. I might end up reading this just out of curiosity. Thank you for the lovely, honest review.

Thanks for the detailed review. I like to read romance, but never read those with the same-sex relationships. I'd be curious to find out, but at the end of the day, a well built story, creative, one which explores human emotions and psychology is something I enjoy. I like how the character development is also focused to a select few characters giving them importance and depth to the plot of the story.

It appears to be a book about the dynamics of various types of relationships, such as family, friendly, and romantic. It also explores the complexities of same-sex relationships.

The concept of opening up your heart, making it all vulnerable, and then seeing it stomped up and broken is something that most people have experienced at least once in a lifetime. This phenomenon gets hypermagnified in individuals with homosexual tendencies, and it reaches another level with members of the trans community. They crave to be loved and end up never experiencing it. Congratulations on BOTD and best wishes for future projects.

The book sounds interesting and eye opening. I love that the author took their time to write about homosexuality something that is ignored in the society. Great review.

The book sounds exciting and amazing. I love that the author wrote about love, but choose it to be about homosexuals, people who are often discriminated and judged for being themselves. I would love to read the book. Great review.

I liked your review, and I found it very informative as to what to expect from this book beyond the episode I sampled. I only met and greeted Eli, Tori and Christian at the start of a lesson when Christian was chastised by Mrs Roper for his tardiness and felt embarrassed. Eli's homosexuality you mention in the review was yet to come to light at that point. I am not a fan of any romantic stories but I enjoyed sampling the classroom episode as it reminded me of my school days.
