Thank you for a beautiful book review.
This book sounds unique. Science fiction is interesting and I like that this book shows how parents can put aside their ideas and aid their children in following their dreams, through the character Reme. The plot sounds captivating, I do wonder who is responsible for David's death.
Congratulations to the author!

A lot is going on in this book. And the cover is terrific. However, I'm not particularly fond of space operas, so I'll take a pass on it. But for those readers who enjoy this type of story, I'm sure they won't be disappointed.

I am not sure I would enjoy reading a story that happens in the world of racing and includes modern technology. However, I like that Rene’s parents decided to support him despite the fact that his dream was very different of what they had planned for their son. Thank you for the interesting review!

The fusion of high-speed pod racing and the intricate web of relationships creates an exhilarating narrative. Reme's journey from a farm boy to a racer mirrors the unpredictable twists of the track itself. What struck me most was the seamless blend of suspense and unexpected turns, keeping me hooked from start to finish.

I loved this review! This book is super interesting! Try to see races from a way out of this world, literally. Science fiction that fills this plot. A great touch of suspense and also promises an unexpected turn of events. Thanks #BOTD

"Afterburn" by R.K. Higgins. An interesting book, talks about Reme Reagan who was formally a farmer who's dream was to be riding in the racing city of Andora. Reme's never agreed to that, because of his wife, Reme's mother. Reme no matter what has build up courage and passion. He believes in himself. His father later gave him a chance for him to make his dreams achievable. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Reme Reagan's
... father would not let him become a rider due to certain issues between him and his wife, Reme's mother. Eventually, he succumbed and allowed his son to go to Andora to achieve his dream.
- Although Reme's father didn't want it at first, I like how he changed his mind, for the son's happiness. Your review made my heart race too. Thank you.

The presence of David Yuben and Eleanor Cinder as the powerful figures in the racing world creates a sense of suspense and mystery. I wonder if their rivalry played a role in the explosion during the race. The question of whether the explosion was an accident or the work of cyborgs adds an intriguing twist to the plot. It raises questions about the motives and hidden agendas of the characters involved.

A notable aspect of the book, as highlighted by the reviewer, is its exploration of parental support in the face of differing ambitions, as seen with Reme's parents eventually backing his racing dream.

Afterburn by R.K. Higgins is a thrilling ride filled with unexpected turns. The depth of Reme's journey and the intricate portrayal of parent-child dynamics resonated with me. The fusion of technology's wonders and its darker implications added layers to the narrative. The plot twist left me stunned, proving Higgins' mastery in storytelling. Personally, I couldn't find any major flaws, and the book's polished editing added to its appeal. I'd easily rate it 4 out of 4 stars :tiphat: . As a fellow reader, I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a gripping science fiction adventure!
