A book with poems that reminds us of the power of resilience and hope; every human has faced hardships, and every human is capable of overcoming them--this book will motivate you and remind you that you have the power.

Poems elevate a book to a new level. Poetry has always attracted me since it may convey a message that various people will interpret in different ways. If I traveled with my family, I would be interested in hearing about her experiences in other countries. Congrats on BOTD.

That is amazing that the writer has been able to experience many cities while traveling. Books that have pictures are nice because the reader can see what they are reading about. Thanks for this great review and recommendation.

A book of poems in Spanish and English sounds very attractive. Also, it uses clear and understandable vocabulary, I would enjoy it and take advantage of the experience. Good option for poetry lovers.

I understand how poetry can be quite complex so, use of clear language is really appreciated. Contemplacion seems like a book even non Spanish speakers would find appealing.

Great review! I'm glad that you liked the book even though you don't speak spanish. We just moved down to southern Texas, not too far from the border, so I am learning Spanish a little at a time. I am not a poetry love, but this book seems interesting. I'm sorry that the author had such a rough life.

While I know very little Spanish, this still seems like a great book of poems and I like that the overall message is about the author overcoming her hardships. Inspiring poems that use clear language are a plus for me.

I downloaded the free book from Amazon. I will take the time to read it. I enjoy poetry. I will probably use my Spanish dictionary to translate a couple of the Spanish poems. It will be intersting to see the images conveyed by the author's pen. I want to know about her experiences as a Cuban citizen and as a citizen of the world. Thank you for this concise review. :techie-studyinggray:

Poetry is not my cup of tea. I tbought it too confusing to find the sense inside the intervened double-meaning words and metaphors. No offense to anyone, but I prefer to skip this book. Anyway, congratulations with BOTD!

I'm not a fan of poems but I appreciate the fact that the poet uses the opportunity to talk about issues occuring in our society especially when she speaks about trauma. Beautiful review.

I was under the impression that the poems were originally written in Spanish and then translated into English; however, I agree with the reviewer that the aspect of mixing English and Spanish poems is new and appealing to me as well, and, Oh, how I also envy those who understand both languages.
