It wasn't bad, but the rest of the book was better. Although I may think this because, in my opinion, Luta's death and her lover's subsequent depression really seemed out of place and unnecessary.

The ending was satisfying, but left questions at the same time. There were enough unanswered pieces to cause the reader to want to read more of the series. This was intentional and the best way to make sure a series continues in popularity. Who knows, maybe people will still be talking about it in several years.

I like the ending despite all the challanges and the death caused by the incursion, the ending marked a new beginning with new friendships making le want to read the second book to determine everything that left unaswered in the first book.

The ending was worth it. Some of the storylines tied up and there are so many new plots for the sequel. I'm excited to read more about Bellona, Cortez, and Dorinda.

The ending was devastating and left me with many questions. I really didn't hope for many of the characters to die. I would have liked to see them in the upcoming volumes. Bellona was left with an abrupt end to her story.

It is satisfying to know that our protagonist demonstrates courage by standing up to the Zuni chief. The woman she once feared is now her friend, and she is determined to fulfill the promise made to Luta.

The ending is a great segue into Book 2. The narrative about fate and Bellona’s questions lead right into the new book. I will be getting it right away. You should just re-read the ending of Book 1 and immediately read the description of Book 2.

The ending left me wanting more. The author penned down a book with an ending that creates questions in a reader's mind wondering how the sequel will be like. The missing prince adds to the mystery.

Indeed, the protagonist's character development was quite evident.

The ending left me with many questions. Is Dorinda's character change permanent or it was just for a period? Is Prince Lemuel dead? Will the citizens end up finding the real truth about the Botai people? What will happen to Bellona when she reaches the Botai people? Will the AI eventually migrate also?

It is an open ending, which is perfect for a book in a series. And also a good conclusion for some of the stories, which is great to be able to enjoy the book without feeling like a part of the book is missing.
I am very curious to know what happened to the Merovian family and also feel that there is more of the Botai in the village that we need to find out.

I enjoyed reading the dynamics of Bellona's relationship with her father. Also, I liked how the author tied up things at the end. I loved learning about Bellona making final entries in her journal and admired the dog Scout's character. Finally, I appreciated how the author connected the events of the story to larger issues.

The ending of the story felt fitting, leaving readers with a sense of anticipation. It lays the groundwork for future sagas, offering a promising glimpse into the potential developments and adventures that may unfold in subsequent volumes.

At the end of the story, Bellona may take Keldiari to her community living in the Thunder Valley. I am unable to predict the next move. Whether there will be another attack by the s'orne? Bellona has the capacity to change things in a good way. Whether she will be able to fulfill Luta's purpose? If everything is done in a right manner, then scores of lives can be saved.
