A Compromising Position by Diane Merrill Wigginton is a light-hearted romance about making sacrifices for love.

Catherine was more than a damsel in distress, waiting for some man to sweep her off her feet. She was a fierce, independent woman who was driven to succeed in her career. Great review that entices me to read the book.

I'm already rooting for Catherine and Jake. I hope Catherine gets it all: the guy and the career. This is my kind of book, so I'll definitely check it out.

Romance is not the genre I am interested in, since all the intrigue in those books is who ends up with whom, and it is not much of an intrigue at all, because characters are limited and dynamics quite obvious from the start. Apologies, but I am not interested in finding out the struggle heroes will have to endure to "find each other" and will have to pass. Still, congrats on BOTD!

I was intrigued by your description of the sensual but tasteful chemistry between Catherine and Jake, and how their attraction builds from the beginning. It's great to hear their romance develops meaningfully over time, rather than feeling rushed or superficial. Thank you for the great review.

I think this book will nicely highlight what goes into a person's mind who wants to pursue a carreer and have a love life. This book could be thought-provoking and helpful for such people to see the paradox in their situation. I would also love to read this romance and see how the character prioritizes her desires.

Catherine Lawrence seems to have a successful career but I believe at a certain point in life, we always sought for companionship and I would love to know how she and Jake worked out.

I like immersive romance books. From your review, Catherine and Jake's love story seems challenging because Catherine prioritizes her career. How will Jake capture her heart? Interesting one. Your review is marvelous
