Re: Review of A Tome of Order Magic

Post by Orji cyril Kaluokoro »

A Tome of Order Magic is a science-fiction novel written by Kyle, a pseudonym of the author. The story follows a character named Kai who is transported to a world of magic, where he is summoned to control the magic and find his purpose. The book has several positive aspects, including excellent editing, unique ideas, and a video game-like format. However, there are several areas that need improvement.

The humor in the book is immature, with some comments crossing the line into sexist and misogynistic language. These comments are unnecessary and do not add anything to the story. The plot is lacking, with the book feeling more like a series of mini-adventures rather than a specific storyline. The descriptions are often too in-depth, which detracts from the story when characters go on long rants about their opinions.

Overall, the book has a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The author had good ideas and unique aspects, but the overall plot and content were lacking. The lack of clear plot and purpose, and the inappropriateness of the content, have led to a reduction of one star.

The book is recommended for those who enjoy science-fiction and fantasy-based video games, but it is only recommended for older audiences who are okay with the sexist and sexual comments made throughout the book. There are also several gory scenes and scenes with sexual content that some readers might want to avoid.

In conclusion, A Tome of Order Magic is a well-written and engaging science-fiction novel that follows Kai as he navigates the world of magic and the challenges he faces. While the editing is excellent, the lack of clear plot and purpose, and the inappropriate content, make it a less recommended read for older audiences.

It sounds like a great book with a lot of potential. The story reminds me of some fantasy anime, so I'm curious how it plays out.

The author deserves credit for creating a unique and imaginative magical world, complete with interesting creatures and the novel concept of "mana" as the source of power.

One of the book's strengths is the excellent editing, with only a few noticeable errors. The author's decision to present the story in a video game-like format, with mana levels and skill upgrades displayed, is a creative and engaging approach.

A brilliant and thrilling novel that I couldn’t put down. The war scenes are pretty good and if you start reading all, you will end up without meaning to. You have to pay attention how the author connects Loubren with Kai’s everyday life on Earth. Congrats on #BOTD

Many of these things must have been hard for Kai to understand even though he seems more than capable. I’m sorry that so many errors were encountered. That is very frustrating. Congratulations on BOTD!

What interests me most in the review is the creative video game-style format described. As a fantasy fan, that unique powering up process sounds interesting.

I know some readers will find the videogame features attractive, but I'm not much of a gaming person. And though immature humor has its place, sexism doesn't. Thank you for your honest review.

The book "A Tome of Order Magic" by Kyle, seems to offer an intriguing premise with its blend of science fiction and fantasy elements. The idea of a character being transported to another world filled with magic and having to navigate its intricacies is a classic trope that often leads to exciting adventures and character development.

Well, I don't particularly care for this genre of novel, and I do not enjoy video games at all. I also have an issue with overt sexism, although I tend to relish immature humor. Overall, I'm not the right reader for this book, but would like to wish Kyle good fortune on finding an appreciative reading audience.

This thoughtful review addresses important areas for development, especially in humor and plot consistency, while highlighting the book's virtues in editing and original thoughts. The reviewer's fair criticism indicates a careful analysis. Important advice is included in the recommendation for an older audience that may be sensitive to explicit content. All in all, a thoughtful and comprehensive evaluation.
