I'm usually not reading a book that's been turned into a movie, so no I don't picture any specific actors when reading. All my images are based on the author's description and probably filters that I have that I'm not even aware of.

I try to picture the character by how the author describes them. I do not always agree with who they choose to play parts in the movies that are based on books. This is because, they never look like what I pictured.

Only if I've seen a movie based on a book before actually reading the book, otherwise I imagine the characters the way they're described.

I don't. I usually form a picture in my mind based off of the description by the author. I actually prefer authors that don't provide too much description, though, so I can imagine the character to look how my mind will allow it.

Yes, when I'm engrossed in a book, I see the characters in my mind's eye even though that isn't my intention.

Yes, definitely. This is supported if the author is descriptive enough in explaining the characters and the atmosphere in the story.

All the time especially if they were described to perfection. It makes reading the book easier to imagine. By the time im dpne with the book it looks like I was watching a movie.

I not only picture actors but also picture the entire world and scenes which are taking place, it feels like a movie I am creating in my head while reading!

Yes imagining the actors while reading the book makes the experience much more entertaining and realistic to me then just reading the text that's why I like to read slow so I can get immersed in the story.

It totally depends, sometimes I have a very clear imagine in my head of a character and sometimes that’s an actor but usually it’s much more abstract

Yes I do. Imagining the characters is the only way for me to actually understand and enjoy what I am reading.

This happens to me when I've seen a movie or tv show on the same thing before reading the book. When I end up reading the book, I end up picturing the actors. This doesn't happen to me if I read the book first and then watch the show or movie. (Even if I reread the book!)
