I agree with you that this book does sound so much like real-life situations.
I feel that pain medication is very addictive, and the lack of control around it is very damaging to people and their effectiveness in life.
This is a critical topic. Congratulations to the author for bringing to the fore through this story of Chris, Shannon, Casey, Maria, and the Pharmaceutical company.

I agree. The first thing that came to mind when reading the synopsis was Dark Waters, a movie (based on a true story) with a similar plot setup.I really liked this book because it had the feel of a true story while also reminding me of scenes I've seen in movies. It was as if I were watching a movie, but this time, it was playing in my mind, and I was piecing together the images.

"The Prescription" sounds like a gripping read, delving into the harsh realities of addiction and the pharmaceutical industry's practices. It's fascinating how the author weaves real-life experiences into a fictional narrative, offering insight into legal procedures and moral dilemmas.
Your review paints a vivid picture of the book's intensity and relevance. It's refreshing to hear about a well-edited book that maintains its impact despite minor flaws. Your recommendation is compelling, especially for those interested in legal matters and societal issues.
