This review was very detailed and had me yearning to know more about Mr. Nachmans disappearance and the authors own experience of setting out to find him in Lagos. I believe this read would very informative and eye opening for me because I am already intrigued to know more about the Nigerian history through Mr. Spradlins deliverance.

Giving it 5 out of 5 star.
The book is noted for its exploration of Nigerian history, particularly around the time of the assassination of General Murtala Muhammed in 1976.I have found it informative and engaging, with some highlighting the compelling narrative and well-researched content. Despite some mixed feelings about the plot's appeal, many agree it is a valuable read for those interested in historical nonfiction and political themes.

The man was probably kidnapped for malicious reasons or may be do that he wouldn't sign the Telecommunications deal. I look forward to reading this book because I like the mystery surrounding it. Congratulations on making the book of the month.

It will be great to read about some events and personalities in Nigerian history I have never heard of, such as the assassination of General Murtala Muhammed and Fredrick David Nachman, the proprietor of a big Jewish telecommunication company. Thanks for the review.

Mr. Frederick David Nachman of the Nachman International Trading Corporation (NITC) disappeared on August 14, 1976, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos. He was in the country to seal a five-year telecommunications plan between his company and the Nigerian government. On August 14, which happened to be the Jewish Sabbath, Mr. Nachman went for a walk and never returned to his hotel room. His wife was very distraught about the issue and immediately employed their attorney from the Clifford and Warnke law firm, Mr. Thomas Richard Spradlin, to go in search of her husband and possibly return him back home. The book is educational, as there are in-depth discussions on Nigerian history and politics. The reviewer recommends this book to those who love historical nonfiction, adventure, and political books:

I'm curious about his whereabouts. The lawyer has been very brave to search for him.

After the assassination of General Murtala Muhammed in 1976, Nigeria faced turmoil and frequent public executions, compounded by heightened Jewish sentiments following Israel's Entebbe Rescue Mission. Amidst this, Mr. Frederick David Nachman, a Jewish businessman, vanished from his hotel in Lagos, prompting his distraught wife to send attorney Thomas Richard Spradlin to find him.
