I believe that in order to be happy, it's good to first love yourself. This seems to be an interesting book. Thanks for the engaging review, Gerry.

The book's short length and its supportive, humorous writing style sound appealing. I'll probably check it out for myself. Thanks for your thoughtful review.

I'm inclined to believe that self-help books are most effective when they challenge readers to take action and engage in meaningful self-reflection. It seems like this author successfully achieved this by incorporating reflection questions for journaling at the end of each chapter. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the book despite its drawbacks. Your thoughtful perspective highlights the value of books that inspire personal growth and introspection.

" Do you postpone pursuing your dreams because you lack self-confidence? Are you constantly worried about how other people think of you? Are you unhappy because of negative thoughts and self-hate? " Such a powerful one, these thoughts are more common and destructive rather than we think. Beautiful review and thanks for introducing to this book.
With Warmest Regards,
Harshitha

Many people in today's age are embarking on a journey of self-love and acceptance, especially with the rise of mental health awareness. I'll be sure to check this book out when I have the chance. Since it's rather short, perhaps I could read it on a bus ride home. Thank you for the recommendation, Gerry!

Interesting review. I have also asked myself, "Why can't people feel happy most of the time?" Was Job's Biblical perspective of life as "full of trouble" on target? I hope Bears' "positive guidance" on how to love ourselves will impact many. I believe this is a book worth reading.

If someone like me sees the title at first glance, I would have just concluded it as these overly pandering books that just repeatedly tells you what you hear on a daily basis. However, I've never heard that quote before, and it made me chuckle too. Books like this are not supposed to be that lengthy, or it becomes boring. I think this particular would be a great read. Nice review!

This is a very helpful book that guides us on how negative thoughts and ideology can influence our response to situations. We can overcome most of life's difficulties by positive thoughts. All we need is confidence.

There is a lot we need to learn about the impact of positive and negative thoughts. While negative thoughts that lead us to have low self esteem, positive thoughts can help us build confidence to achieve whatever we want to achieve.

Hi, Bassey. I totally agree with you. Positive thinking can get us through all trials and tribulations. As the author implied, positive thinking makes life a lot easier. This is true. Our negative thoughts weigh us down. We should not worry about what other people think. We should act in a way that honors our values and brings joy to life. We can share that joy with those around us. This book nudges us in the right direction. Thank you for your comments. Welcome to the Online Book Club. :techie-studyinggray:
