Political rivalry in a new-ish world can be pretty thrilling and having seven Regents presents myriad fodder for intrigue! According to the great review this book starts a little slow but that is due to the introduction to the characters and atmosphere of the story. The rivalry between Regents Liston and Banner in "On the Precipice" by Brianna MacMahon plays center stage in this first book of the series.

The complex relationship between religion and politics appears to be explored in this book. Despite taking place in a different reality, it seems to address pertinent and current issues. It is ideal for readers who enjoy political science fiction.

In “On the Precipice” by Brianna MacMohan, Imperium, a colony split from the Core due to religious differences, thrives under seven factions led by Lord Regents. Raelynn, a new graduate, is tutored by Levine Liston, a controversial Lord Regent. Amid political power struggles, peace talks, and the looming election, alliances and rivalries shape Imperium's future. Thank you for a great review.

The book has shown how politics and religion interact to greatly influence global issues. Because I have little interest in political novels, I initially thought the review was a little complicated. The plot is enhanced by the characters' exquisite connections with one another. The author deserves praise for successfully blending humor into a novel that tackles weighty subjects. The narrative is intriguing. will attempt it. Best wishes on BOTD!

From review I can assume that the book is about a civilization and the struggles of leaders to remain in power. I think I would like it more if the struggles and lifestyle of normal people was included too. But the review seems quite remarkable as it details out the story line.

On the Precipice seems to be packing in a lot in terms of world-building. Since politics are also a highlight along with this, I don’t think it’s a good fit for me. It is best suited for sci-fi lovers who read about politics. Congrats on the BOTD!

The author engrossed the readers in a fantasy world of Imperium and its functioning. Liston is a Lord Regent who goes against conventional norms. He opts for Audilla to be a tutor and tries to have peace talks with Civitans, something the assembly disapproves of. With the upcoming election, what will be the result?

“on the precipice” is a science fiction that deals with both politics and religion and intersections it with drama and a complex plot. From the sample I can say this is not my cup of tea, but I appreciate that the book is well-developed and easy to follow, so thanks for sharing your thoughts in your review!
