Thank you for your well-thought out review on "Choices" by Gary Markman. The themes the book covers, i.e., racism, friendships, equality, family, love and the power of choice intrigued me so much that I decided to put this read on my shelf. The sample on Amazon also persuaded me to further read this book so I look forward to it. I love how the beginning of the narrative Harper was teaching children then all of a sudden he realizes he is dead--yes quite a mystery I am interested in reading about. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

This book had an interesting opening with Harper recalling five of his students, wondering whats happened to some, but is dead pondering this. I like the author's point that the pitch is equality but what is being sold is one person’s rights over another’s.

We all have memories to reminisce. In the same way, the MC had memories to reminisce about as we go down memory lane with him. Congratulations on the BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

What a lovely read: a book that teaches the power and value of making decisions and being fully aware of the consequences/results. Themes that stand out, for me, are love and friendship. Will you join me in this adventure to find out how you and I can make a lasting impact on the world?

You wrote a very good review! This book seems very intriguing. I am anxious to find out how Harper died and why so many students have vanished. I will put this on my "to read" list.

I agree with the assertion that adults should focus on explaining to children the reasons to why they should make a specific decision instead of directly imposing said decision on them.

The sample of this book really caught my attention, but more so was this review. It is excellently written and I genuinely want to read the rest of the book based on this review alone. Fabulous job.

The themes of decision making and the power of choice are truly valuable. The topic of how someone's choice also affect other people's choice and future is intriguing. Adult should learn not to force their decisions on children. The book also emphasizes the importance of friendship and solidarity. The mix of humor and emotional resonace makes it worth a second look. Thank you for a well written review.
