Michael D. Komeshak's intriguing tale, "The Keepers," explores the lengths a father would go to in order to keep his family safe. A covert government agency is very interested in twelve-year-old Jonas's capacity to astral project to other worlds and interact with their people. In order to protect his family, Bert—Jonas' father and a man who shies away from conflict—muster the bravery to defy the government, form allies, and take a chance on a risky scheme. There is a literary component, action, and adventure in this book. The science, theory, history, and spiritual aspects of astral projection are covered in great detail in separate parts. This novel was an exciting journey, and I was curious to see how it ended. It Worth my time, kudos to Michael.

Congrats on BOTD.
This book is magical and engaging to read because of Jonah's voyage into other spaces. What a fascinating story. The government's interest and the display of other civilizations also make this book a worthwhile journey.

The book appears to put a fresh spin on the concept of alternate realities.  The family dynamic seems to balance the scientific aspects of the story.

Summed up, the book's about a local dreamwalker who gets hunted down by the government. Not sure what to expect here. Hope it ends on a high note.

This is a great review, Lisa, and it helped me to put the sample I read in perspective. I sampled the opening episode about Susie who met Jonas in her dream and he told her to wake up and never go back again to where she was. I have yet to meet Jonas and Bert, but it feels like a gripping read.

Wow, this review of The Keepers really highlights the unique and imaginative premise of the story! I love the concept of 'dream trekking'—it sounds like such a fascinating twist on space exploration. Jonas’s journey across different planets while balancing the real-world dangers adds a lot of depth. It’s also interesting that Bert stood out as a favorite character; I’ll have to keep an eye out for him when I pick this one up!

The protagonist's existence on 8 other planets is a unique plot to start off with. The detailed scientific portions are a concern. But I will surely give it a try beyond the sample pages. Saving it for a future read.

As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will always exist.

"The Keepers" by Michael D. Komeshak is a captivating and well executed science fiction comprising elements of astral travelling, family travails, and government tyranny. I am curious to know what the government does to Jonas after they've done experimenting with him due to his unique abilities. Congratulations on being BOTD!
