Best self-help author?

Any recommendations? I'm a big fan of Rhonda Byrne, Napoleon Hill, and Tony Robbins. Thanks!

I finished reading No Matter What by Lisa Nichols a couple of months ago. She discusses nine "muscles" you need to emotionally exercise in order to take charge of your life. It's an awesome book.

You can try Jack Canfield or Robin Sharma. I used to read James Arthur Ray a bit before he got himself into trouble. Timothy Ferriss and Michael Heppell are also not bad.

Current favourite is James Allen.

You might want to try Marci Shimoff and Wayne Dyer. They are excellent as is Deepak Chopra. There are many many good authors in that genre. Also depends on which area of self-help you are interested in? Try finding Ben Johnsons book where he does a synopsis of 100 books in the genre. He also has a website and Blog. His daily newsletter - En*theos has an article about a different author and his key idea each day.

For younger people (although it could apply to everyone, really) the books put out by the Adolescent Mental Health Initiative are my long-time favorites. They're the only books my library really has on what I needed, and were a huge resource (and still are!) in self-help and discovering information about my illness.

I love Gregg Braden's work. I really enjoy his style of writing and subjects. He talks about scientific prayer, beliefs, quantum physics, etc.
