In this edition, the duo is once again on a mission to thwart a new terrorist plot. This time, the terrorists plan to poison the water supply and might succeed if they aren't stopped in time. Will Lara and Uri be able to secure the people’s safety? It’s worth reading to find out. The book promises to be a compelling read, and I’m excited to dive in. “Waterworks” by Jack Winnick is a fictional, but possible, story about a terrorist attack on the Los Angeles water supply. Teams of terrorists that were members of an Iranian anti-American group added Polonium to the water supply by dropping it in the water from bridges in socks that they used to bring the poison into the U.S. Lara and Uri were already in Los Angeles on vacation so they were deployed to track down the terrorists and find their leader in Iran. This is an action thriller that I did not want to put down until the last page. This book is Jack Winnick’s 5th book in this series and all of his books are well-written and have kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page. I highly recommend this book.

The theme of modern day wars is never exhausted. Closeness to reality and the availability of weapons is daunting as mentioned by the author Jack Winnick. I think I will enjoy the narrative and action in this book, and the closure that the story provides as the reviewer mentioned .
