It is a tribute to the power of love and poetry, and a gift for those who seek stories that resonate deep in the soul.

A play was definitely not what I have expected to be honest. It d9es sounds interesting, but not quite something that I would enjoy. I'm sure that all the drama and poetry lovers will enjoy this immensely. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD.

Love, loss, identity, and the search for meaning in life are all explored in a thoughtful and insightful way. Kuckuck captures the spirit of the era perfectly, and I gained a deeper understanding of the Romantic movement through this book.

Diotima sounds like a whimsical play. I wonder why Susette is unattainable for Holderlin. I'm rooting for them even though I have a suspicion things might not end well for them. I'm intrigued by this play!

Thanks for the review. I have sampled this book and I have to agree that the style of writing is indeed fantabulous. However as a poetry lover this is definitely the next book I am gonna read.

While I can appreciate plays, they really just are not my thing but I really should give them a chance. I will bookmark this page and come back soon to check it out.

A love story designed as a play set at a time when there's unrest and turbulence in Europe grabs my interest. Hölderlin, a poet, meets Susette, with whom he falls in love. Will they successfully navigate through ups and downs to be together? The works of Hölderlin and his friends fill up some of the pages.

Diotima: Romantic Drama explores the complexity of love, passion, and human relationships, combining classical themes with contemporary sensibilities. At its foundation, the story revolves around a protagonist who is heavily influenced by Diotima, a historical character recognized for her influence on Socratic philosophy of love and beauty. The plot progresses as the protagonists deal with emotional conflicts, intellectual disputes, and love entanglements. The drama, which is rich in poetic language and thoughtful monologues, examines the contradiction between idealistic love and the realities of human connection. Diotima: Romantic Drama, set against a backdrop of creative and intellectual endeavors, is both a tribute to ancient principles and a modern exploration of the perennial desire for meaning in love.

This is a well-written play that pulls together love, the sadness of death, and the determination to achieve one’s goals. The character's life is rather bittersweet, but it has elements of hope, passion, and the ability to connect to another person.

This seems like a really interesting play. The love story between Hölderlin and Susette seem admirable. I like that it also features poetry. I can't wait to read this book!
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen
