Whispered Waltz

A waltz in shadows, soft and slow,
Where longing sways but dares not show.
Your touch is near, yet out of reach,
A silent vow we cannot breach.

The violins sigh, the world stands still,
A love restrained by fate’s cruel will.
We dance, we spin, but time won’t bend,
A fleeting step, a whispered end.

No vows, no dawn, no hand to hold,
Just echoes wrapped in velvet cold.
One final turn, then let me be,
A ghost who danced, but wasn’t free.
