Wow—"Impact" honestly sounds like one of those books that grabs you from page one. A global disaster, space debris, mystery objects, and characters with names like Tamarind and Flax? I’m super curious. Definitely adding this to my reading list! Congratulations BOTD!

Impact by Mark D. Owen is one of those books that grabs you with high stakes tension and doesn't let go. Tamarind Chase was a compelling lead ,his determination and vision for asteroid mining made him a character rooted for from the start. I also liked how Mark D. Owen wove in global and personal stakes, especially with characters like Jin and Karl, who added layers to the political and technical challenges Tamarind faced. The science was dense at times ,but I appreciate how grounded it felt ,like this future isn't that far off. While I do wish there was a bit more memorial depth in some characters arcs, then action and the ideas more than made up for it. It's definitely a solid bread for anyone who loves near-future realistic sci-fi.

A space disaster, a friend's loss, and a risky laser mission to clean Earth's orbit make this plot intense. I’m curious about the strange object and how Tamarind is linked to it all. Sounds like a thrilling ride. Congrats on BOTD!

I love how the story blends space science with real-world issues and still manages to throw in mystery, drama, and even a bit of romance. The character names are so unusual they actually make you curious about the world they come from.

This seems to be a nice combination of mystery and science fiction. I like how the author paid attention to the details in order to make the plot as realistic as possible considering its genre. I'm curious about the incoming object, though. I'm guessing the new Lazer technique will come in handy again.

Space debris on earth has to have many negative impacts; it is good to see that Tamarind wants to help clean things up... But are all of his intentions good? Is there something more at play here? Thanks for the review!

I like how this book, Impact by Mark D. Owen, shares a lot of details about space. Although I don't think some of the events would have happened in the same way in reality, I like how detailed it is. Congratulations on the book of the day.

I agree with this reviewer about the wonderful writing and the way we, as readers, are immediately drawn in. Thank goodness the complicated science is explained or dealt with in ways that don't leave the reader feeling frustrated and impatient to get back to the action. I didn't realize this is part of a series. How exciting!

Owen's engineering background shines through in the detailed and plausible scientific explanations, making the story accessible to both sci-fi enthusiasts and newcomers. The narrative delves into themes of innovation, sacrifice, and the ethical implications of technological advancement.

Science fiction is my favorite genre and I am well aware that anything can happen in space. I want to read more about Tamarind. It is perfectly understandable that he feels responsible for what happened to his friend, even when he’s not. Congratulations on BOTD!

"Impact" by Mark D. Owen reminds me a lot of a book I read. The chaotic post-apocalypse is always an attention grabber. Congratulations on BOTD.
