Reading Let's Be Honest by Jeremy felt like having a heart-to-heart with a brutally honest friend. I really connected with the way Jeremy portrayed his younger self—it reminded me of times I’ve struggled with saying what I really thought, just to avoid conflict or discomfort. I especially appreciated how the characters like honest Jeremy and the more guarded versions of his friends highlighted that tension between being truthful and being liked. It made me reflect on how I show up in my own relationships and how much freedom there is in honesty, even when it’s uncomfortable.

The book seems to discuss honesty from different angles and perspectives. However, the book appears to target Christian readers mainly with the Bible quotes and teachings it presents. Since I'm not familiar with biblical verses, I'll skip this one.

I really like how the author breaks down honesty using the Hebrew word emet—that alone gave the message more weight. The B-A-S-I-C structure sounds helpful too, though I can see how some parts might feel a little too preachy or familiar if you’ve read a lot of Christian books.

The title of this book sticks! "Let's Be Honest" by Jeremy Gove examines the principles that people must master to develop radical biblical integrity. This book really intrigues me. Even more profound were many of the statements in the narratives. Such statement as, "Our handshake should be stronger than any contract. Our word should be higher than any oath. Our reputation should be better than any bond rating.” This got me desiring to read the complete book.

Non fiction books are not my cup of tea and I'm not into religion, so this book is not for me. Still I'm sure it will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Congrats on BOTD!
Utilizing the Hebrew origins of "truth" and a straightforward B-A-S-I-C framework, Jeremy Gove's "Let's Be Honest" exhorts Christians to extreme biblical honesty. A self-assured, scripturally rich manual for individuals prepared to live out their beliefs with faith.

Ready to explore the concept of Honesty and Integrity in biblical sense as per Jeremy Gove as he documented it in "Let's Be Honest".
From the review, this must be an interesting book considering it explores the origin of Integrity as per Hebrew meaning.

This looks like a very helpful book for those who believe or are interested in Christianity. I am not one of those people so I will not be reading this book.

Great review, Stephen. I read Let’s Be Honest too and really liked the way Gove broke things down with the B-A-S-I-C acronym—it made the message easy to follow. I agree that his writing is clear and engaging. I also noticed some parts felt a bit preachy, especially when he touched on culture, but overall it was a solid read for anyone serious about living out their faith.

Religion related books aren't really my kind of books. Although, there are a lot of good things one can learn from religion and I have immense respect for every religion, I might skip this book. But I'm certain that it's a great book for people interested in this topic.
