Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Post by Karla Ardon »

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher is a great book. I sometimes questioned my life, and when I read this book it inspired me to do better in life. Jay Asher said, “You can’t stop the future. You can’t rewind the past. The only way to learn the secret is to press play.” His quote alone is inspirational. The book is about a girl, Hannah Baker who killed herself but left tapes of the thirteen reasons why she killed herself. Clay Jensen doesn’t want anything to do with them, but he finds out he is one of the reasons. What he discovers honestly makes the story so great. Jay Asher did a great job with this book. It’s interesting and it’s impossible to put it down because you want to know what all the reasons are. I recommend this book mostly to teens that doubt their lives.
