My favorite author is Jodi Picoult. It could take me a couple of weeks to read her, but I am never disappointed. If you like "real life drama and the relationships that exist within that drama" then you will enjoy reading her.

Jim Butcher, and the why goes to humor, great story-telling, love the main character, and it's been a pleasure watching him improve as a writer.

J.J.R. Tolkien and A. Sapkowski.

Both of them wrote fantasy. I value Tolkien for magnificent world, which was created by him, and Sapkowski especially for witcher saga, but also for another books.

The reason why I chose Saira Viola as my favourite author is because she challenges the reader's perception of contemporary society and is a brilliant satirist . Her writing exudes both beauty and passion , the scenes jump from one event to another and her style is simply unique . The prose lush and detailed offering a vibrant , lyrical panorama of city life . Viola's writing makes a difference and constantly reminds us that everyone in society has flaws and that ultimately perfection is imperfection.

Personally, my favorite author is Michael Crichton because I feel like I'm educated about something everytime I read one of his books - killing two birds with one stone so to speak.
