Is it sad if I feel like this question is the equivalent of sin? Unless it's a textbook - let's see those babies fly!!!! Haha

I try to either give them away or sell them to a second hand store. Sometimes though it goes in the free bin if I can't sell them.

I have never thrown a book away, unless it's a textbook. If there is a book that I do not wish to own anymore, I have either donated them to the local used bookstore or when our town does the yearly book swap, I bring them there.

I've never thrown a book away but I have given them away. Both books were by Margaret Atwood, whose plots were okay but whose style I found deplorable. 'The Blind Assassin,' unless anyone has stolen it, should still be sitting on a bookshelf in Dublin in a little bakery called the 'Queen of Tarts.' My gift to you if you are in the area. 'Alias Grace,' I read about 100 pages of on a plane before gifting it to the woman siting next to me.

Never, if I don't like it, I just give it to someone, who likes it.

I've only ever thrown one book away. It was Critique of Criminal Reason by Michael Gregorio. I struggled to get into it, and ultimately struggled to finish it. I was disappointed in the characters and felt cheated with the ending. I donate most of my books that I don't want to the local elderly housing community. This book was so awful, that I didn't want anyone else to waste their time with it.

No.. I don't like throwing away my books! Mainly because when I get folder I may want to go back and reading those books over again or give them to my kids to read! You can always donate a book you didn't like or don't want to a local library or school! But don't throw them away!

Absolutely not! I would never! I always donate the books I don't want anymore or don't have room for. I will go around my family and ask if anyone wants them and if no one does, I take them either to the Goodwill or to a local thrift store.

Never have! I like to hoard my books, on the off chance I do get rid of some I usually donate them to my local used book store or give them to friends.

My mom threw a book away in front of me once and I yelled at her
